Avenged Sevenfold drummer was killed by accidental drug overdose

Reports have confirmed the cause of the premature death of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan was of an accidental drug overdose

On the 28th December 2009, the news that 'The Rev' had been found dead in his southern California home devastated Avenged Sevenfold fans the world over, at long last, reports that his cause of death were 'inconclusive' have finally been turned around.

According to Rolling Stone link, toxicology reports suggest he suffered “acute polydrug intoxication due to the combined effects of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam/Nordiazepam and ethanol.” The same thing that killed Batman actor Heath Ledger in 2008

Avenged Sevenfold took the brave decision to continue without their friend, taking on Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy as his replacement.

The group are about to kick off touring the US again this summer, no doubt with the fresh publicity from the death of Jimmy Sullivan freshly ringing in their ears.
