SWALEC is all set to make Relentless Wakestock an even more electrifying experience this year with some on-site activities designed to make the festival extra special! The SWALEC 'plugged in' area will be home to the festival's official signing tent and a unique “recharge” zone for fans to relax away from the general festival madness while topping up their mobiles with specially designed emission-free chargers.
SWALEC is also really keen to plug in to the local communities around Relentless Wakestock. and is throwing down the gauntlet for local DJs to win the chance to share the stage with Chase & Status, Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out and many more amazing acts when they open the Misadventures Stage on Saturday.
Jonny Petrie from SWALEC explains: “We've got a great record of supporting our local communities and that is why we're excited to be announcing our link up with Relentless Wakestock. Giving an up-and-coming DJ a chance to shine at such a massive event is something we're really proud of, and I'm looking forward to meeting up with our competition winner to see how they rate the sets by DJ elder statesmen such as Pete Tong and Norman Jay. With our specially designed 'plugged in' area, festival-goers will have the chance to meet their favourite bands and DJs in the flesh, and as we all know how much of a mad rush festivals can be, I'm sure our 'recharge' zone will come in very handy for everyone!”
Helen Griffiths, Relentless Wakestock's Festival Director, says: “We are very excited to have SWALEC on board at this year's festival and to be working with a brand that supports emerging local talent. The 'plugged in' signing tent is also a welcome new addition to Relentless Wakestock, giving festival-goers the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite artists'.
For local up and coming DJ's to be in with a chance to play at this years Relentless Wakestock they will need to send a mix of up to 15 minutes to link by Monday 21st June.
Relentless Wakestock takes place on the weekend of 2-4 July at Abersoch, Cardigan Bay.
