Formed last year by Momsen and signed to Interscope Records, The Pretty Reckless’ release their debut single ‘Make Me Wanna Die’ on May 17th. The razor-sharp rock track is featured on the soundtrack to the new Matthew Vaughn-directed film Kick-Ass which is out now.
Alongside 16 year-old vocalist/lyricist Taylor, the New York quartet is completed by guitarist and co-writer Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon and percussionist Jamie Perkins. They will release their debut album, which is influenced by 90s rock bands like Garbage, Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins later this year. Taylor has described her band’s music as having a “dark and heavy sound”.
