This Bank Holiday weekend has been jam packed with live music all over the country. Hopefully, you had the opportunity to take advantage of at least some of it, wherever you are.
I hit the Give It A Name Introduces… tour on Friday night and got to see three of my favourite bands of the moment. The Dangerous Summer, Anarbor and The Swellers, and I am so pleased to say that they certainly did not disappoint. With only a few days left of this tour I urge you all to go out and catch these bands if you can!
But my weekend of music didn’t end there… Camden Crawl is probably the most well known of the events that happened this weekend, but always one to be different I swerved that and headed East to Yorkshire. Live At Leeds filled my Saturday with some highlights being local lads, Sound Of Guns, tearing up the teeny tiny Cockpit 3 and Hadouken! making the Leeds University Refectory bounce like it was on a trampoline.
All together I caught about ten live performances in one and a half days (I spent the rest of my bank holiday weekend sleeping, eating and watching Iron Man 2!) surely that’s not too bad plus I’m going to see General Fiasco and Kids In Glass Houses tonight. That’s loads! I’m giving myself a pat on the back for this, I’ve decided.
Anyway, just in case you didn’t make it out to any of this we will have reviews and interviews with The Swellers, Anarbor and The Dangerous Summer, as well as, the opportunity to win tickets to the Hungry Pigeon Festival, the chance to see The Drums and Tinchy Stryder, Vains Of Jenna, Hip Parade and Black Mountain on tour.
