Joshua Radin And Lissie Play Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions

Hard Rock International and Absolute Radio have today announced that acclaimed singer songwriter Joshua Radin and hotly tipped act of 2010 Lissie are the next artists to grace the Hard Rock London stage as part of the regular ‘Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions’ series of shows.

On Tuesday 4 May, Joshua will perform tracks from his brand new album Simple Times, which has received great reviews in UK music press with The Times describing it as “medicine to the ears”. Ellen DeGeneres and Miley Cyrus are among his fast growing list of admirers and his music has already featured on hit TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, American Idol and One Tree Hill.

Fans at the intimate ‘Hard Rock presents Absolute Radio Session’ will also get to hear a live performance from rising star Lissie, who was the name on everyone’s lips following a dazzling performance at South by South West this year. Described as “a present day icon for lovers of both blues, folk and country” by Q magazine, Lissie has been compared to Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde and ‘Laurel Canyon prettiness stewed in campfire and bourbon’.

Joshua and Lissie follow in the footsteps of Editors, Scouting For Girls and Amy Macdonald, all which have headlined previous ‘Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions’ shows, which take place at the world famous Hard Rock Cafe in London’s Mayfair.

The gig will be hosted by Absolute Radio Hometime DJ Geoff Lloyd and tickets can only be won by tuning into Absolute Radio or logging onto link <link> .

Listeners to the national radio station will be able to hear the session in full on Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show from 7pm, Wednesday 5 May, plus the gig will be available to watch online together with an exclusive interview, on the Absolute Radio website.

‘Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions’ continue Hard Rock’s commitment to hosting live music events – within the last few years the likes of Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, The Charlatans and Fun Lovin’ Criminals have all performed intimate shows at Hard Rock Cafe London – as well as amplify Absolute Radio’s commitment to delivering the best live music to its listeners.
