Your Demise are currently holed up in California writing their second album, the follow up to 2009’s breakthrough album ‘Ignorance Never Dies’.
“It will still 100% be a Your Demise record” notes guitarist Stu Paice, “The sound is inevitably going to change and adapt because of what the band is personally listening to. Our own personal tastes have changed as everyone’s does, through touring – it’s our second album so there is a degree of pressure, but I think it’s only from a personal view of upping our game and to take it as far as we can.”
Your Demise head back to the UK in May 2010 to Outhouse Studios in Reading to record the as yet untitled second album. With the debut album being suggested to be “The shape of punk to come” (Kerrang), saying the sky’s the limit would be a massive understatement.
They have also just finished ripping it up on the Atticus Metal Tour II in the US, their third American tour of 2010. For more tales from the US, including being held at gunpoint on the Canadian border and getting tazered by a skinhead, head over to Your Demise’s Tumblr, MySpace and WordPress.
The band returned to the UK in March to support A Day To Remember to play to sold out crowds and great live reviews: “Natural born crowd killers… riot starting anthems” (8/10 Metal Hammer) and have also just been confirmed for the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds, UK at the end of May 2010.
