Friendly Fires To DJ At Cool In The Pool Label Launch

New London based / Berlin-K7 affiliated label Cool in The Pool marks it’s launch on Friday 30th April with a party at The City Arts & Music Project.

To reflect the labels musical mission, the night will be a genre busting hotpotch of bits of everything that’s good in London right now. From the peak time / state of the art indie-disco of Friendly Fires DJs; to the crunchy dubstep / UK Funky of Brackles; the psychedelic guitars, jacking drums and soaring synths of 3 piece Plugs; East London’s own answer to Arthur Russell, Henry Bennett, playing live with his future romanticists ColouringIN; joyful post-dubstep art noise and intrigue from Young Turks / XL new superstar Kwes; next generation Dalston disco from the young Pearl Flash crew, off the back of their NYE with Casco and last appearance at the CAMP, all ably supported by the mysterious DJs in the Sky.

There’s probably a good reason why you can’t hear Dubstep, Disco and Indie under the same roof in London at the moment and we’ll be secretly a bit disappointed if there isn’t the odd floor clearing moment during the night. But whatever happens, with a cool ground floor area and a rocking 300 capacity basement, this smorgasboard of the weird, wonky and wonderful, will compel and confuse from 10.00 PM till 4.00 am…and entrance is strictly Free.
