A report into the Learjet crash that killed four people and seriously injured Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM has found that easy steps could have averted the accident.
Under-inflated tyres have been cited as the main cause, all the tyres exploded as the aeroplane reached it's take-off speed reports xfm.co.uk.
The Federal Investigation into the crash went on to state that the company chartering the plane had not checked the tyre pressure for three weeks. A Learjet’s tyres, said the report, loses 2% of its pressure every day and, if not maintained, would need to be replaced after eight days.
Travis Barker and the bereaved family members have already settled legal claims with the companies involved in the crash.
