East London's finest festival, Field Day is set to announce another salvo of superlative star turns who will join the likes of Phoenix, Silver Apples, Caribou, Mouse on Mars and Gold Panda in Victoria Park on 31st July. Established as the capital's most cutting edge one-day shindig, this year's line up once again sees Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field and Bugged Out! pushing boundaries with more than enough good stuff to tickle your fancy.

Beatnik folsksters Babeshadow, who will be supporting Florence & The Machine on her forthcoming tour, kick off the latest additions to this year's Field Day that will also see DFA affiliate Riton and Ed Banger stalwart DJ Mehdi's new project Carte Blanche dropping the Chicago House vibes. The much fancied Chapel Club who made huge waves in A&R circles at the end of last year will be bringing their wall of sound to E3, plus there will be maverick electronic missives from cut-up pop purveyor Hudson Mohawke and chamber-pop singalongs from the lauded Lightspeed Champion, whose recent album has garnered him even more acclaim.

LA art rock duo No Agewill be showcasing their eye-watering power psychedlia, whilst dancefloor manoeuvres will be well and truly catered for by the mighty Simian Mobile Disco whose recent 'Temporary Pleasures' album cemented their reputation for delivering high octane action quite unlike anybody else. There will also be appearances from Touareg musicians Tamikrest who hail from the from the far north of Mali and will be playing their lilting Ishumar rock, Mancunian post-punk prophets The Fall whose influence over the past 30 years can't be underestimated, the genre-defying These New Puritans and erstwhile Cajun Dance Party upstarts Yuck.

And don't forget, as well as all the amazing music, Field Day's off-the-wall Village Green area, 'Village Mentality', will be on hand for you to enjoy some of life's more rustic pleasures, including an array of stalls and activities throughout the daytime. Ranging from sack-racing and whack-the-rat to Bowling for Bacon and the lucky tombola Village Mentality is where you can be like an ant in the days of summer.
