Stop Making Sense Launched

Stop Making Sense is a brand new, international music festival with an irreverently independent vibe set to be the closing party of this year’s festival season. Showcasing quality live acts & DJs in the sunshine and under the stars, Stop Making Sense brings London, Glasgow & Paris’ hottest club & concert promoters to a paradise location.

More than a music festival, SMS is situated on a woody peninsula in the village of Petrçane on the stunning Adriatic coast of Croatia. This is a holiday/festival combo in a beautiful spot with great value family-run restaurants, villas by the beach, and many small hotels & campsites. With beach and boat parties galore – revellers can do as much or a little as they please!

Complete with a sterling line up soon to be announced, SMS is curated by music lovers and promoters NEED2SOUL, C.A.M.P, SWAP-A-RAMA, DEVIATION, OPTIMO, SUBCLUB, SUD ELECTRONIC, SECRETSUNDAZE, MOVIMIENTOS, WARM, FACT, DON’T PANIC, FAVELA CHIC, ALLEZ ALLEZ & FANTASY ISLAND.

SMS is set to combine the perfect site, weather and atmosphere with a broad soundtrack ranging from techno to Latin and African beats via jazz, soul, funk, house & disco for a unique and unforgettable experience.

SMS organisers Chris Greenwood (Cargo founder & former Big Chill director) & Alex Ruello (need2soul) say:
“We are delighted to have found such a brilliant spot to put on our first event, combining great weather, excellent value transport + accommodation, superb food & hospitality. The facilities are top notch, the villagers super friendly…and sunshine virtually guaranteed. We couldn’t really have asked for more!”
