Here it is my very first editorial. Scary stuff. I’m not embarrassed to admit I’ve had one or two sleepless nights worrying about what I was going to write about and if any of it would make any sense! I have finally finished trawling through what felt like millions of emails and the towers of post that had been lovingly cultivated awaiting my arrival (thanks Mat!) and could put this off no longer, so here goes nothing!
The BRIT Awards celebrates its 30th birthday tomorrow night and, no doubt, will have one or two of those memorable moments that seem to define BRIT Award ceremonies. Such as, my personal favourite, when Bjork announced that she was “a grateful grapefruit” when she collected her award or the moment every single scouser cringed when Mel C challenged Oasis to a fight , shouting “come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!” With Florence and Gaga set to rake the awards in following their phenomenal year it seems they aren’t likely to fall out of the spotlight any time soon.
Anyway, with reference to Mat’s last editorial I am pleased to announce his Daniel Bedingfield cd has mysteriously gone missing and we haven’t had to endure his incredible karaoke rendition of Gotta Get Thru This for a while!
So, in the world of Glasswerk this week we have Nick Harper and Eight Legs. Also, the astounding Doll and The Kicks have just finished their tour leaving some of you with a serious case of the missed it, missed outs!
