Alicia Keys and Beyoncé Knowles are hard at work filming their new video in Rio De Janiero. The video is for their duet ‘Put It In A Love Song’, the third song to be released from Keys’ chart-topping fourth studio album ‘Element Of Freedom’.
The colourful Carnival-inspired scenes are being shot in slums around Brazil’s second largest city. Keys has said in an interview that “we are going to totally, entirely blow your whole head backwards” with this video.
The energetic song which is fuelled by Caribbean drum is a step away from both artists’ usual sound. Both ladies are certainly at the top of their game with two hugely successful albums on the charts at the moment.
Speaking to BET.com, Alicia said of Beyoncé “she’s an incredible lady and I absolutely consider her a friend”. Both women were signed to Columbia Records when they were fourteen.
Brazil was chosen as a location due to Beyoncé touring South America with her ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ world tour at the moment.
Interestingly, the song was produced by Swizz Beats, Keys’ rumoured fiancé and was released on U.S. airplay during late January.
