Jaded Playboy Add Extra Date

‘Broken Heartland’ is an EP full of tales of broken hearts and half broken countries. Shattered hopes and dreams by people abusing their positions of power and misleading the masses to further fracture. Narcissism, agoraphobia and depression, persisting in end of the road relationships resulting in people losing themselves to the point they turn into completely different people. Couples trying not to conform to the stereotypical usual couple relationship resulting in an eventual break up and one half going off to lead a life of exactly that. This all being depicted on the EP cover – the human heart in the shape of a country surrounded by a sea of darkness that the heart will encounter.

Jaded Playboy came together at the start of 2007 to produce a dark, melodic blend of rock and punk inspired by the ominous inevitabilities which life throws at us all.

After a great start for jaded playboy in 2007, recording two demos and an EP, playing over thirty shows, receiving radio airplay on XFM and an offer of a publishing contract in the US, jaded playboy returned in 2008 with their well-received EP ‘Retreat’. The Cabaret Voltaire played host to a very successful launch night in August selling close to 200 Eps on the night alone. They also performed a live acoustic radio session and interview on Talk 107 radio station the day before.

The second EP from the Edinburgh rock outfit has since gone on to shift close to 700 copies through gigging constantly throughout the UK.
Their hard work was to be rewarded and noticed; ending 2008 with an excellent showcase performance for JAR music group. Fast Forward on a few months into 2009 and that would bring with it being included on the Californian record company '272 Records' 'Punk Kills Vol VII' album. Showcasing some of the best unsigned talent from around the globe. The long player was sent out to 25 Californian college radio stations and is also available on Amazon, not to mention in some of the famous tattoo parlours and record shops along sunset strip!

Jaded Playboy have just added another gig in Blackburn to their forthcoming tour next month. The band released their new EP this month and the tracks have received much national support from, amongst others BBC Scotland's Jim Gellatly and BFBS Worldwide Radio.
