Agnes New Single & Live Dates

Swedish female vocal sensation Agnes is about to make a serious challenge for the title of 2009’s most successful pop diva with the release of her second UK single ‘I Need You Now’. This huge dance-pop anthem is the eagerly anticipated follow-up song to the biggest debut single of 2009 in the UK so far – ‘Release Me’ which spent ten weeks in the UK Top Twenty. New single ‘I Need You Now’, which again showcases the 21-year-old singer’s incredible vocal, will be released in the UK on November 16th through 3 Beat Blue.

Agnes’ debut UK single ‘Release Me' has now sold over 350,000 copies and made the Top Ten singles charts in eleven countries, reaching 3 in the UK. It’s also one of the biggest radio hits of the year, with more than 30,000 spins on UK radio alone. The video has also had over ten million views on YouTube.

Although relatively new to the UK, Agnes has had massive success in Scandinavia already, with six Top Ten singles including co-written hit ‘Release Me’ as well as three hit albums in her home country. Her debut UK album was produced by Anders Hansson, who has previously worked with Cher. Agnes started writing lyrics and singing at the age of five and has co-written half the songs on this album which will come out in the UK in early December. She has also recently signed a huge US record deal to release the album out there.
