Joss Stone will release her fourth studio album on Monday 2nd November 2009 titled Colour Me Free.
In the writing and recording of Colour Me Free, which took place at Mama Stones, Joss’s mums live music venue, in Wellington, England, Joss who produced the album along side Jonathan Shorten and Conor Reeves, created 12 finely crafted yet raw tracks that owe as much to Joss’s past as to her future. Of the album Joss says:
“I kind of woke up one morning and wanted to make an album. It's very, very raw. It's a bunch of musicians, writers and myself, and we're just jamming, basically.
“This time, the album was not dictated or forced, it was an organic process where each musician was given the freedom to create their sound. I co-produced this record; it’s an honest and accurate representation of where I am as an artist and person right now. I am really proud of the music and excited to have people finally hear the songs.”
Hailing from a small town in Devon, England, Joss at the age of 22 has already won two Brit awards, been nominated for four Grammy’s; appeared onstage with such greats as James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Patti Labelle, Mavis Staples, Donna Summer, Smokey Robinson and has sold more than 8 million albums worldwide.
