Sinatra Family Unhappy With Film In The Making

The Family of Frank Sinatra is said to be unhappy at the way his life story will be portrayed on the big screen.

Director Martin Scorsese is set to direct a biopic about the legendary singer but reportedly wants to focus on the darker side of his life.

But his relatives, especially youngest daughter Tina, want the movie, entitled Sinatra, to instead concentrate on his musical legacy and not his personal life.

Speaking to the New York Post, a source: “Marty wants it to be hard-hitting and showcase the violent, sexually charged, hard-drinking Frank, but Tina wants to show the softer side of her dad and let the focus be on the music.”

The insider continued: “The '60s were a very swinging time for Frank – he was having sex with a garden variety of bimbos and cementing his Rat Pack status.

“It's a really key time to his mythology. And Tina really wants to make sure that a sanitized Frank comes through, and that it's not overly negative.”

Oscar-winning director Scorsese announced in May that he would be making the film about the star who died in 1998 at the age of 82.
