Continuing on from the phenomenal success of its first year. The1234 Shoreditch Festival returns for its second outing on Sunday 26th July for 6,000 people. Again bringing with it a whole host of the best new genre defying bands and Dj’s over three stages and twelve after parties at its much loved stomping ground of Shoreditch Park nestled in the heart of London’s East End followed swiftly onwards into the evening with twelve specially curated after parties bought to you by London’s finest cutting edge collectives.
As The1234 Shoreditch Festival rolls forth into its second blow up year with its phenomenal new band and Dj line up in tow featuring the cream of today’s boundary pushing collectives. With a stellar 1234 line up already announced, Promoter Sean McLusky and The1234 are proud to announce yet more additions to the bulging 1234 line up – Lovefoxxx (CSS) will be a special guest with a DJ performance on the MAIN STAGE at THE1234SHOREDITCH.
Brazil's freewheeling dance-rock sextet CSS take their name from an abbreviation of “cansei de ser sexy,” which is Portuguese for “tired of being sexy” (though, considering that the lead singer goes by the name Lovefoxxx, it's arguable how much that phrase actually applies to the band). Lovefoxxx was voted #10 in NME’s annual Cool List (but was beaten by her fiancée's (Simon Taylor-Davis from THE KLAXONS) bandmate Jamie Reynolds, who came in second, with the winner being Frank Carter of Gallows.
Also joining the main stage on the day will be the one and only Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) who will be doing a very special DJ set for the1234 masses. He is lovely and has a great smile and that’s enough for any festival punter to check him out.!
After the sun goes down on Shoreditch Park The1234 continues onwards into Shoreditch where the festival hosts twelve post parties and after shows at hand picked specially curated venues at Dalston Superstore, Queen Of Hoxton, The Hoxton Pony, Hoxton Square Bar, Electricity Showrooms, Mother Bar, The Legion, Bar Music Hall, Old Blue Last, Catch, Cocomo and The Joiners Arms all included in the insanely cheap wristband price of £15 and transforms Shoreditch into a pivotal party Mecca for a night of balmy summer mayhem for The1234 revellers with the good times rolling on into the early hours. Entry into all after parties is 18+ and strictly with festival ticket only.
