The Strokes front man Julian Casablancas is set to release his first solo album “Phrazes for the young” due to be released this Autumn.
The Strokes last release was 2005's “First Impressions of Earth” a firm favourite amongst fans. However since their last live performance in 2006 the band have been quiet with the members concentrating on various solo projects.
The record was recorded in Los Angeles, Nebraska and Casablancas's home tome of New York. Being produced by Jason Lader, with additional engineering by Bright Eyes' Mike Mogis.
Tracks rumored to be on the record include “Phrazes for the Young”, “City of Brake Lights” and “Glass”.
Solo dates in the US are due to be announced later this year, pushing the likely-hood of a strokes reunion onto the back burner for now.
