Michael Jackson May Have Died From Propofol Infusion Syndrome
Propofol, a powerful short-acting intravenous sedative agent, is looking more likely to be the drug that may have killed Michael Jackson.
According to TMZ.com, the LAPD are already treating the case as a homicide with the focus on Dr Conrad Murray. Law enforcement sources say there is already “plenty of powerful evidence” linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered Propofol to Jackson.
NME.com states “Dr Murray also reportedly administered the drug Diprivan to Jackson, and was with him when he died.” Glasswerk can reveal Diprivan is a brand name of Propofol & when the drug is given in high doses to a patient over a long-term, a rare but fatal side effect called Propofol infusion syndrome may occur, which can lead to cardiac failure in some patients.
It is still unclear what other medication was in Michael's body when he died. An announcement is expected explaining the exact cause of Michael's death later this week, once the toxicology tests are completed.
