Fans who paid in advance for their tickets to Michael Jackson’s UK shows have been offered a refund or a souvenir ticket from promoter, AEG Live.
Full refunds will be available through the authorised ticket sellers that issued the tickets, including Seetickets, Ticketline, and Ticketmaster.
There are 8 different tickets which feature graphics that were “inspired and designed” by the singer. AEG has announced that it will not be printing further tickets as collectables.
It is estimated that 800,000 fans paid £50 to £75 for a ticket to one of the 50 O2 Arena dates.
Randy Phillips, President and CEO of AEG Live, said in a statement, “The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known.”
“Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death.”
Ticket holders who require detailed information on the refund process should visit Michaeljacksonlive.com.
AEG have also released photographs taken of Michael Jackson rehearsing in Los Angeles for the O2 dates just days before he died of a heart attack aged 50.
