Canadian power-pop outfit The Mission District have announced they will return to Dublin this September to play the Academy 2.
Lead singer and mastermind behind the group, David Rancourt cites the likes of '80s British pop bands as The Cure, Tears For Fears, and Talk Talk as sources of inspiration.
“Playing live is what it's about for us really,” the band's charismatic frontman explains. “I'd say I'm rather a manic showman, and I feed off the energy of the audience. I definitely feel comfortable out there, especially in front of really large crowds.”
Already huge in their native Canada, Irish fans now have the chance to get up close and personal with them in the intimate surrounds of the Academy 2 on September 14th 2009.
Tickets priced €10.00 including booking fee are on sale now.
