Timberlake Voices Concerns Over Possible Jackson Memorial Shows

Justin Timberlake has voiced concerns over AEG’s plans to stage a series of star-studded tribute concerts for Michael Jackson.

Other artists that have been reported to be chosen by the promoter for the tribute concerts include Beyonce and Stevie Wonder.

AEG are reportedly keen to use the venue to hold the concerts in Jackson’s memory, however, Justin Timberlake has told the Evening Standard that he felt “very cautious” about these plans.

“It’s an honour to be considered for a tribute to the greatest of all time, but also there is a level of just me as a fan that would feel very cautious about doing something like that.”

“Like anyone else in the world I’m his biggest fan. I just feel like if there would be any pretension, it would not be good. That’s my worry.”

“I understand tributing somebody who is so influential to every artist of our generation. It would have to be done properly.”

Following Michael Jackson’s death, AEG Live have been left with the problem of filling the O2 arena’s 20,000 capacity, which was to accommodate the 50 This Is It shows.

AEG earlier unveild plans to offer ticket holders either a refund or a souvenir ticket
