Recently the news has been saturated with reports of swine flu. There is no escaping it, it's everywhere. Schools in London have closed down as a precaution, as several pupils have contracted the virus. Even our office building sent letters round just as a reminder to be vigilant. Those little Mexican piggies have got alot to answer for. Is it the pigs though? what if, in this day and age of rife terroism a deadly virus has been planted by terroists which is spreading round the globe and the pigs are getting blamed for it? It happened in 24 (well, maybe not the bit about the pigs).
Ok, so putting the scare-mongering and conspiracy theories aside, how exactly does this relate to music? Well, according to reports Tulisa Contostavlos from chart-toppers N-Dubz is currenty undergoing tests for suspected swine flu, after being taken ill on a flight to Greece. Jonathan Shalit, the band's manager said: “We've no idea how she got ill but the nature of being a singer is that you meet and shake hands with a huge amount of people”. So there you go, get your anti – bacterial hand gel at the ready…
