The mighty Slam Dunk Festival returns for a fourth year to Leeds University on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th May. This year sees the number of stages increase to 6 and will play host to over 40 bands.
After rising up the bill over the last couple years, the festival will be headlined by Slam Dunk Records’ own You Me At Six. After their current sell out tour of 2000–3000 capacity venues around the UK, this may be one of the last times to see them for a while.
Headlining the other stage is The Blackout. With the release of the forthcoming debut album for Epitaph, expect big things for this band in 2009. Headliners for the other stages will be Anti Flag, Hundred Reasons, and The Ghost Of A Thousand. Also returning in 2009 is the UK Now stage, which will be showcasing the best in upcoming UK talent. Confirmed for this stage are In Case Of Fire, Canterbury, Paige and The Auteur.
The Line up so far features: You Me At Six, The Blackout, Cobra Starship, Silverstein, We The Kings, Anti Flag, Hundred Reasons, The Slackers, The King Blues, We Are The Ocean, Attack! Attack!, Polar Bear Club, Sonic Boom Six, Farse, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Devil Sold His Soul, Hollywood Undead, The Urgency, Sing It Loud, Hexes, Ruiner , Defeater, Random Hand, The Skints, , In Case Of Fire, Canterbury, Paige, The Auteur. More bands will be added soon.
Slam Dunk is still one of the best value festivals ever! Tickets are only £21 in advance, the equivalent of only 50p per band!
