Competition will put lucky acts on New Band Stage

Kildare County Council, in association with MCD and Naas Town Council, has announced details of PLATFORM V, the OXEGEN 2009 Battle of the Bands competition for emerging musicians and bands from Co Kildare.

Two lucky performers/ bands will win a much sought after slot on the New Band Stage, which has previously been graced by famous names like The Fratellis and The Killers, and a three day recording contract with Kildare County Council.

Platform V, taking place in Kildare’s The Late Lounge, is open to all unsigned solo artists and bands from Co Kildare, over the age of 17. The competition will begin on the 2nd of May with the semi-finals taking place on the 15th and 16th of the month. Successful acts will then battle in out in the grand final on the 19th of June.
