Thelondonpaper Launches Headliners Festival

Today, thelondonpaper and Mean Fiddler announced the launch of a new 2-night, live music event which brings together Soho’s finest music venues to create a celebration of music in the city taking place on Wed 16th and Thurs 17th September 2009. thelondonpaper HEADLINERS will showcase over 50 acts in a variety of venues and unexpected spaces across central London.

Malcolm MacKenzie, Music Editor of thelondonpaper says ‘London’s musical taste is the most eclectic in the world, it’s only right and proper that thelondonpaper HEADLINERS delivers a line-up that caters to the enormous variety of music fans in the capital, and it will!’

Over the two evenings the event will take place at numerous venues operating a single wristband system that will allow people to go from venue to venue, catching as many bands as they want. Chart-topping acts will rub shoulders with breaking indie bands, and wonky popsters will find themselves sharing stages with the finest singer songwriters around.

As well as taking advantage of the great venues central London has to offer, the event will take over some more unusual spaces with one-off, flash gigs that will take the public by surprise.
