San Francisco trio Mi Ami kick off their European tour next week with shows in Brighton and London acting as a teaser for a full UK tour beginning at the end of the month. New dates have just been added in Manchester and Nottingham!
The two ex-Black Eyes members unleashed their new creation, album ‘Watersports’ with Mi Ami at the beginning of March. Reactions to the Touch & Go release (sadly one of their last ever) included Dazed & Confused declaring their love, NME dubbing Daniel Martin-McCormick’s vocals “the pure sound of sacrificial slaughter”, a 4/5 review in Kerrang and the editor of another popular music magazine refusing to cover them at all, stating that the album made him want to punch himself in the face.
…A mixed array of reactions fitting for a band who have something truly unique to offer.
