Following the massive singles – ‘Rise’, ‘Let Me Out’ and of course the huge US hit ‘Kiss Me Again (Stuttering)’ – Ivor Novello nominated Jamie Hartman’s new single will be sure to follow suit and take the radio waves by storm this Spring.
Acting as a teaser for the new album ‘Battling Giants’ (out on May 11th), the first single to be released will be ‘Apologise’. The track was co-written by Aussie superstar Natalie Imbruglia.
Hartman says of the collaboration: “Natalie's really sweet – but when she arrived she was in a bit of a fluster – I forget why. When I played her an idea I had for a song and sang the melody we decided on the word “Apologise” for the title because it was resonating with whatever was going on in her world at the time. We had the whole thing finished and done very quickly. It was obvious to me that my take on the lyric was about an entirely different thing – the relationship I was in – but it didn’t matter – the thought was the same. Just say you’re sorry for once so that I can forgive you.”
Ben’s Brother will play ‘Apologise’ live to fans for the first time at an album showcase gig at London’s Borderline on 21st April. Following this, Jamie and his band will head out on a full UK tour in May to perform other new tracks from ‘Battling Giants’ alongside crowd favourites from ‘Beta Male Fairytales’.
