As well as touring, Chris is also busy writing lyrics and demoing music for his sixth and seventh studio albums. A formidable creative force, he’s not only penning an all-out rock record with his band The Hoodrats, but a stripped down, acoustic solo album – further highlighting his incredible songwriting talents. More information on this to come.
2008 was a hugely pivotal year for Chris T-T. ‘Capital’ – released in March 08 through Xtra Mile Recordings – garnered a wealth of fantastic reviews from the press, including Plan B, Sunday Times, Q, and NME as well earning him radio sessions on 6Music with Marc Riley, Radio 1 with Huw Stephens and an Xposure Session on XFM with John Kennedy. He played to over 15,000 people throughout the year in the UK, Europe and USA with sold out headline tours, festival appearances in the summer and as a special guest pianist in the Frank Turner Band. And, if that wasn’t enough, whilst on tour with Frank Turner in Europe, Chris turned film director and created a fly-on-the-wall documentary titled: 2008: ‘The Year Frank Broke’ featuring exclusive live footage, and interviews, capturing the heady world of a rapidly rising star. This will be released later on in the year.
With further writing projects increasing his popularity, such as his widely admired column in The Morning Star paper and his hugely popular blog that over 500 UK-based people logged onto for his live entries on the US Presidential election; 2009 is looking like this unique and vital creative genius will be further catapulted into the nation’s consciousness where he belongs.
