Pete Doherty will give a lecture to members of Trinity College in Dublin's University Philosophical Society this afternoon. Since the society was formed in the 17th century, it has played host to many big name speakers, including Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, John McCain, Salman Rushdie and Desmond Tutu.
According to the society's website, Doherty will “talk life, love and much more” and interested parties are invited to “come for a taste of what a rock 'n roll (hopefully minus the sex and drugs) lifestyle entails”.
