The multi-talented award winning actor and musician Jamie Foxx releases his long awaited third album Intuition on 12th January 2009 through RCA Label Group. This album follows 2005’s critically acclaimed Unpredictable that gave Jamie Foxx a UK top 10 album and in the US a Billboard No.1.
Jamie Foxx enlisted an all-star cast of award winning artists and producers including T.I., Lil Wayne, Kanye West, T-Pain, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Tricky, The Dream, Ne-Yo, Salaam Remi and more. To complement the production diversity on Intuition, Foxx switches his vocal delivery on several songs ranging from the vocoder-infused Blame It, the Southern preacher drawl on I Don’t Need It, and his signature smooth voice on I Don’t Know. The 15-track disc runs the musical scope of party starters and quintessential slow jams showcased on such stellar tracks as Number One featuring Lil Wayne, Weekend Lover and more.
On December 16, 2005, Foxx released his J Records debut album Unpredictable, which entered at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums and Current R&B Albums charts.
Sparked by the success of the album’s title track, Unpredictable sold 597,554 units in its first week of release and positioned Foxx among the ranks of 50 Cent, Coldplay, Kanye West and Mary J. Blige as one of the highest selling debuts of 2005.
After the second week of release, Unpredictable jumped to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and not only earned Foxx the distinguished honour of being the first artist of 2006 to claim the top spot, but he also joined legendary actors Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Barbra Streisand as the fourth Academy Award winner to also have a No.1 album in the US. Unpredictable remained No. 1 for three weeks, sold over one million units in four weeks and eventually won Foxx an American Music Award in 2006 for Favourite R&B/Soul Male Artist.
