Due to continued demand, Innerpartysystem are bringing their unique amalgamation of Rock and Dance elements to the UK on a sophomore headline tour which will see the Pennsylvanian quartet possessing audiences up and down the country through sheer unadulterated musical excess. This is a band that mixes beats and melody like no other. Their captivating light show only adds to the band's intrigue in the live arena and the forthcoming dates will bring things to a new level with their biggest tour to date. This is a band in worldwide demand with performances forthcoming at Voodoo in the States with Nine Inch Nails, Soundwave in Australia with NIN and Alice In Chains and a current US your with 3oh!3. In the UK, the band has been successful in forging their own path through headline shows and in the new year they’ll be exposing new talent to the UK in the form of their support act Middle Class Rut.
Innerpartysystem have made an impression on audiences in the UK already with their debut headline tour including several sold out shows and high profile slots on festivals such as Projekt Revolution and 02 Wireless where their music reached thousands of people. The band has also enjoyed enthusiastic support from the likes of Scuzz TV, Kerrang!, Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley and Dan Carter. ‘Don’t Stop’s first outing as a single in 2008 gained them the position of most requested track on Scuzz and a Zane Lowe session.
The four members of innerpartysystem hail from the small towns that surround Reading, Pennsylvania. The rural, stark nature of the landscape has certainly had an effect on the band’s sound which incorporates throbbing electronic beats with the aesthetic of a rock band whom, like Nine Inch Nails, Pendulum and Prodigy, aren’t afraid to mix styles and mess with the formula. Drummer Jared Piccone thinks the small-town atmosphere comes through in the music –
“I think a lot of that small-town angst comes through in the album. When we travel, people always seem to make a big deal out of us being from this small town in the middle of nowhere, which is true, but when you're living there and you grew up there you don't really think about it like that, it's just home. I think when people hear a song like ‘This Town, Your Grave’ that vibe of small town desperation is definitely clear.”
Innerpartysystem worked with a stellar line-up of producers and engineers on their self-titled debut album – Stuart Price (Madonna, Missy Elliott, The Killers, Gwen Stefani), Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine) and Mark 'Spike' Stent (Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, Goldfrapp).
The band will re-release stunning single ‘Don’t Stop’ as their headline jaunt commences on 26th January. Catch the band’s intense live show with support coming from Middle Class Rut at one of the following. Tickets on sale now:
