Take That's latest album 'The Circus' is set to sell one million copies in just 19 days, making it the fastest million-selling album this millennium.
Yesterday, 'The Circus' had sold 990,000 copies, meaning it will comfortably reach the million mark today, according to the Official Chart Company.
“It has been an incredible run for Take That over the past few weeks, which should continue right through to Christmas. The fab foursome have demonstrated once again just how much they are cherished by the great British public,” explained Martin Talbot, Official Charts Company managing director.
“They will have to go some to catch and overtake 'Rockferry' and establish 'The Circus' as the biggest selling album of 2008 – but it is not impossible,” he said. “And, at the current rate of sales, who would put it past them?”
The album, however, has failed to claim the title of 'fastest million-selling album ever'. This still belongs to Oasis for their third album 'Be Here Now' which sold one milliom copies in just 11 days.
