Glastonbury headliners 2009 – the rumours
The rumours of Glastonbury headliners continue to grow. As tickets for Blur tickets are selling fast, fans hope the word that they may headline to be true.
A statement to the BBC read: “There is lots of speculation about who might or might not be playing next year. We're confident it will be as good as Jay-Z. No headliners have been confirmed.”
Although organisers have said that no headline acts will be confirmed until next year, the rumour mill continues to grow. According to e-festivals, Blur, Neil Young, Squeeze and Kanye West are all on the cards. Franz Ferdinand are also mentioned, as are The Specials ana Tom Jones.
The festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 26, 27 and 28 next summer. Over half of tickets for the event have been sold already. See Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for ticket details.
