The new long awaited Guns N Roses album has reportedly been banned in China, where its title is causing offence. It's not certain if the government there have officially banned the album from being sold, but it seems the Chinese media have hit out at Axl Rose's choice of album title, with some accusing the whole album as being anti-Chinese propaganda, and as a result no shops want to be seen to be selling it.
Among the anti-Axl coverage, is an article in The Global Times headlined “American band releases album venomously attacking China”, while one unidentified Chinese source is being quoted as saying the new Guns N Roses album is part of plot by the Western world to “grasp and control the world using democracy as a pawn”.
