Weiland Reveals Why He Split From Velvet Revolver

Scott Weiland has spoken about why he quit Velvet Revolver. Weiland left the band, somewhat acrimoniously, earlier this year. He says that his decision to reunite with former band Stone Temple Pilots kicked off the tensions between him and the rest of Velvet Revolver, while “piddly financial things” and “bickering” led to the final split.

Speaking to Playboy, Weiland says: “When I told Slash I was gonna do some festivals with STP, he said, 'Thank you for being straight up with me'. It wasn't until later that another member of the band had some issues with it. It's a shame certain people have a hard time letting go of past resentments and try to throw them onto other people. When you start bickering about little piddly financial things, it takes the fun out of it for me… We're all doing pretty good, so if you're going to fuck the relationship up over this, I don't want to be involved”.
