Levellers December Tour
Brighton based folk-punk band, the Levellers, released ‘Letters from the Underground’ – their most politically resonant album in a decade in August and are currently touring in Europe before they return to embark on an extensive UK tour.
Musically and lyrically the album conveys a passion, energy and conviction that shot the band to fame in their early years. ‘Letters from the Underground’ was recorded in the Levellers own Metway studios in Brighton and is being released on their own label ‘On The Fiddle’.
There is still more to celebrate as the Levellers are enjoying their 20th anniversary and have marked it by playing live throughout 2008. The band have been touring venues and festivals all over Europe including their own sell-out ‘Beautiful Days’ festival and the electrifying performance at the Royal Albert Hall in September. Their upcoming UK Tour sees them airing many of the new songs from the album and old favorites from their hit-rich rabble rousing back catalogue.

Accompanying the band are a couple of exciting tour supports in the shape of Frank Turner and the fabulous Divokej Bill. Frank Turner has himself been hitting the headlines with Radio one plays galore and has been proclaimed a genius by everyone from Steve Lamacq to The Sun newspaper. Frank will be bringing his enchanting yet edgy folk sound to the tour by playing songs from his album ‘Love, Ire And Song’. Divokej Bill have also been confirmed and will be coming over from the Czech Republic with their 100% Czech style Punk Folk rock.
