The Wombats Record Single With…Les Dennis

According to reports, The Wombats are teaming up with comedian Les Dennis on a charity Christmas single. The entertainer, who became involved after he heard that the band were looking for a Liverpool celeb to collaborate with them, does a spoken word intro to the track, which is entitled 'Is This Christmas?'

Dennis said he was thrilled to be taking part in the project, and said of The Wombats: “They were great and cool and I loved their music. They are a great Liverpool band – I think it's great that they have done this”. He added that the song was witty and ironic and “a real indie Christmas song”.

Proceeds from the single, to be released on 15 Dec via download only, are to be donated to Mencap.
