The Answering Machine head for the studio

The Answering Machine, finally, head into the studio today to record their debut.

The Manchester based band aim to have finished recording within a couple of weeks with the album ready before the year is up.

The band are working with producer Dave Eringa (Idlewild, Manic Street Preachers)and plan to start a blog to post videos and images of their time in the studio.

Guitarist Patrick Fogarty tells Glasswerk that the band are making the album 'with three words in mind; youth, passion and skill. It will be one of the suprise records of 2009.'

The band add that they are 'bloody chuffed' that they are finally recording again and will be touring the new songs at the begining of next year.
