Could you make the next iconic music video?

With the deadline looming for this event The Radar Festival is offering an amazing opportunity for aspiring and emerging music video directors to get their work seen by the kind of industry figures that commission new music videos week in, week out.

And the ready availability of digital filming and editing technology, along with the rise of DIY, lo-fi music video aesthetics (as seen in Radar's DIY Music Video Top 10 – see the myspace), means that making an iconic music video can take little more than a camera, a mac and an ingenious idea.

Your lo-budget video could lead to industry work and valuable commissions…

Every director gets an evaluation of their film from Radar – and up to 240 of the best videos will be seen and judged by record label commissioners. Winners will get over 20 prizes of label commissions, £1k cash and mentoring from world class production companies. Have a look at the brilliant opportunities that Radar created for last year's winners here.

The tracks directors can make an entry for are available at link. These tracks have been licensed so that directors can use them for showreels, film festivals or screenings, free from any legal worry or red tape.

It costs only £10 to enter (or free for current students) and the deadline is 7th October 2007.

For detailed information on entry, have a look at the entry page at link

So get making – you have to be in it to win it!
