97.7 Xfm Manchester has been announced as the official radio station for Manchester United FC ahead of the 2007/8 season, meaning that Manchester’s dedicated indie-rock music station will be transmitting full and uninterrupted match commentary exclusively for all United games both at home and away.
The Red’s season, which kicks off on August 12th with a match against Reading, will mark the first full match coverage on 97.7 Xfm Manchester direct from Old Trafford as well as unveiling the brand new Xfm signage around the legendary ground.
Xfm’s full commentary line-up will be announced in the next few weeks, however it is confirmed that Mickey Thomas, ex-United winger back in the 70’s, will be on hand to give his unique insight into the ‘beautiful game’.
Xfm plays the best indie-rock music and is available in London on 104.9FM in Scotland on 105.7-106.1FM in Manchester on 97.7FM and coming soon to South Wales on 106.8 – 107.3. Xfm is also available nationally on Sky digital, Virgin Media, Telewest, HomeChoice and online at link
