Its official Liverpool band The Little Flames have announced they are to split. Glasswerk had recently reported a rumour that the band were to split, with some of the existing members sticking together to form The Rascals.
Sean Atkins a spokesperson for the band's record label Deltasonic Records made a statement earlier:
''We are sorry to have to announce that The Little Flames have split up. It is an amicable split, and they will continue to work on their own projects in the very near future.
The Little Flames thank you all for your ongoing support over the past two years.''
The band Eva Petersen, Joe Edwards, Mat Gregory, Miles Kane, Greg Mighall originally formed in December 2004 when they met through dub and punk DJ Babylon Fox Goodbye. Famed for being Arctic Monkey's best mates the band produced well known singles like 'Little Rose”, Put Your Dukes Up, John and Isobella
The Rascal's, who are rumoured to be working with Arctic Monkey’s Alex Turner are scheduled to play Liverpool's Korova on 8th June.
