On Tour with a band? Here's some advice: Watch what you eat! Muse have been forced to cancel upcoming US tour dates with My Chemical Romance because members of both of the bands' entourages have been suffering from food poisoning.
According to CMU music news, a number of band and crew members are described as having become “violently ill” after a gig in Virginia at the weekend, and were admitted to hospital. Thus far two gigs have been cancelled, whilst a third had its date changed, pending the crew's recovery.
So here's what to eat and what not eat on tour:
NOT: McDonalds or kebabs (pictured) dodgy chicken burgers uncooked in greasy burger bars. Chances of food poisoning are higher and if you have any morals you wouldn't eat at McDonalds if it was the last place open.
DO EAT: lots of fruit to keep your energy levels up – oranges contain Vitamin C and bananas are the best. (Apparently kiwi fruits contain the most energy of all fruit) Energy bars and cereals are great sources of nutrients, if you have bowls and spoons!
Save your money! – avoid high class restaurants, you can buy fresh cooked salads from supermarkets for a reasonable price and sandwiches that are economically and belly friendly.
