Brits lose out at Grammy's

In the night that saw the reformation of The Police and a classic performance of Roxanne, it wasn't all so peachy for the Brit nominees.

Acts such as James Blunt, Corinne Bailey Rae, KT Tunstall and Arctic Monkeys all lost out in their respective nomination categories.

Stars and winners included Mary J. Blige, Madonna, The Dixie Chicks, Justin Timberlake, American Idol star Carrie Underwood (3 awards), John Mayer, The Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera, Gnarls Barkley (for Crazy) and Red Hot Chili Peppers, who picked up three awards from five nominations.

The stars of the night were of course Sting, Summers and Copeland who set off on a world tour to celebrate their reunion and long may it peacefully last.
