If you've still not heard the Texan 5-piece, where have you been?
Their impossibly catchy, deeply melancholic, heart-felt and yet heart-breaking style of pop genius is something that if you have any feelings left inside you after living in this burnt out, mobile-phoned, JPEGed and microchipped madness of a world, you will have been crying out for.
A style of pop music less concerned with the number of notches on your bedpost and more concerned with the trials and tribulations of love, hate and aspirations to living with more than what you have, Voxtrot are not for the fast-paced of this world, but more for the navel-gazer finally about to revolt against years of accusations of oversensitivity.
Their upcoming EP “Mothers, Sisters, Daughters and Wives” (recently reviewed on Glasswerk here:link) is probably one of the best things we here at Glasswerk have heard this year, from the build-up on 'Rise Up In The Dirt' to the imploring 'Soft And Warm' with an infectious piano-led intro and lyrics intended to provoke and comfort in equal measure.
And, if we must succumb to the glories of the technological age, we might as well take advantage of this with the new video to Soft And Warm, available below.
