Manchester legends The Charlatans have confirmed a concert in the North of Wales for December to back up the release of a singles album and career spanning DVD. The 18-track album called ‘Forever: The Singles’ and accompanying DVD will be released on the 13th of November. A week prior to the release there will also be a belated outing for 2001 single ‘You’re So Pretty We’re So Pretty’ this time remixed by Youth.
The 18-track release will feature the majority of the bands classic single releases, from the 1990 debut release ‘Indian Rope’ to the new Youth remix of today. The DVD will feature all of the bands videos and together with televisions appearances and an assortment of live footage from over the years. There will also be a digital deluxe release on-line that will include everything from the limited edition set and other rarities.
To coincide with the release of both the album compilation and the DVD they have also confirmed a full UK tour beginning in November with two dates in Wales. They play Cardiff University Great Hall on the 25th of November before they return to Wales to close proceedings in the North at the seaside resort of Llandudno at the Cymru Hall on the 10th of December. This is a very rare appearance in North Wales by The Charlatans and being only fifteen days short of Christmas itself perhaps those fans attending will be treated to a seasonal favourite or two. Tickets for the concert are priced at £22.50 and are available thought the venue box office and other outlets now.
