True experimentalists ‘Broken Social Scene’ arrive at The Carling Academy in Liverpool on Wednesday night. There has been something of a buzz about Canada’s music scene, Toronto in particular brings us epic popsters ‘Broken Social Scene’. The band started experimental as the KC Accidental project which then became Broken Social Scene. After much attraction the band is now a fusion of local Canadian bands such as Do Make Say Think and A Silver Mt. Zion.
A packed crowd seems to be on the cards for these guys at The Carling Academy. They bring an addiction of ambience, experimental and progressive sounds. ‘You Forgot It In People’ is an album glistening with sky scraping highs and larking vocals from both sexes. Crafted and layered into a melting pot of pure gold, Broken Social Scene look to impress. ’Capture The Flag’ will be on show flowing with curves and bends of melodic guitars and a dash of trumpet, wondrous sounds.
It is most certainly refreshing to see music edged towards new horizons and the unknown being sought. Sigur Ros fans will be drooling at their mouths lapping up the freedom of experimentalism.
Please check the mass stage invasion of Canadian sorcerers at Liverpool, Carling Academy 30th August. Space pop!
Look out for amazing support in the form of Sean Butler and The Neon Hearts. The next biggest thing from around these parts without a shawdow of a doubt. Sean will be howling out his breath taking American Folk music and giving us a glimpse of his up and coming release of 'The London EP. Not to be missed!
