Maximo Park back New Order on upcoming tour

New Order are back for more live action in 2006, following a series of shows last year which culminated in a legendary performance at Glastonbury Festival. Manchester's finest kick off with a series of European dates in the summer followed by a five date UK tour in October, which will include Wembley Arena in London on Friday 27th October, Maximo Park will be supporting New Order on the London date.

“I'm really excited about seeing all our English fans and hopefully brightening up October, ” says Hooky, “and you'd better catch us now, as pretty soon we'll all be on Zimmerframes!”

As Bernard has said, no other band unites “spotty students and football hooligans – as well as housewives and rock stars, the art set and the mainstream, indie-lovers and dance nutters”.

No band other than New Order can wring such emotion from machines, or make guitars sound so fresh. No one else is so spiky, so startling, innovative and inspirational; no one else makes pop music for clever people that hits the heart as well as the head and no one plays live like New Order.
