Gideon Conn is inspiring, uplifting and fresh in the Manchester scene. An extremely talented entertainer and original artist, Gideon is nothing short of unique. Taking elements of classical music, pop, jazz, hip-hop and combining them with zany but heart-achingly honest lyrics, his energetic sets have recently been enhanced by the addition of three incredibly talented permanent band members.

“this Mancunian legend-to-be who simply HAS to be seen. An eccentric, enigmatic genius” gigs-unlimited.co.uk
“Running in tandem with his drawing career has been his own songwriting career, and it's one that Manchester music followers will soon be as familiar – and equally mesmerised – with… the sparkling Londonderry and I Want You Around, are just as likely to tug at your heartstrings as they are to tickle your funny bone.” David Sue, Manchester Evening News

Since meeting at Sheffield University Anna Harrison and Friends have been involved in many music projects together, across the UK and Europe on tour, TV and in the studio. They have won a reputation for providing a kicking, no-nonsense blues set of incredible quality and putting on an energetic and irresistible live show.

If you haven’t caught their live show yet, you missed Anna’s breathtaking vocal and a driving, red-hot rhythm and blues band.

The Green Tree Riot….When waiting for Green Tree Riot to take to the stage one would be forgiven for assuming that they were about to be treated to a set of old timey folk songs, for the line-up of fiddle, acoustic guitars, double bass, harmonicas and washboard certainly do evoke images of bygone times. As soon as these lonely instruments are raised, however, all preconceptions have to be laid away because the energy that's about to be generated is of a new kind; it has its roots in a place deeper than tradition and its spirit hovers untroubled over all musical forms. Yes, it is acoustic but in a whole new way!!! Blending the romance of folk music with the grim realities of the blues, GTR add their own pop sensibility to create a sound that balances the traditional with modern life.

Over the past two years, the band have honed their undeniably individual style & developed a contagious energy during their live sets. Most recently they have been re-recording their debut EP which as a demo had been received incredibly well.

“…something magical could come of this.” – Chris Long, BBC Great Unheard
