BRITISH Sea Power, Art Brut, DOGs and Mando Diao are among the bands lined up to play London's first ever all-night indoor festival in April.
“The Insomniacs Ball” kicking off the Easter Weekend on Thursday April 13th, will feature three live stages and dozens of live bands and DJs underneath the arches at London Bridge. Doors will open at 8pm, when the live music begins, and the entertainment will continue until 6am the following morning – Good Friday.
Capital promoters Kill All Hippies and Stylish Riots already run independently successful gigs and club nights across central London, but they've joined forces for this, their most ambitious venture to date.
The Insomniacs Ball will be British Sea Power's first gig since last year's sold-out UK tour, and other bands confirmed to appear at the 3,000-capacity venue include Battle, Dogs, Black Wire, Vincent Vincent and The Villains, The Pipettes and The Holloways. More names are expected to be added shortly.
The festival, at the multi-roomed SE One Club, will feature three live arenas, various different bars and lounges and two club rooms featuring XFM's The Remix Eddy Temple Morris, Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs, White Heat DJ's and many more to be announced shortly.
Co-promoter Andy Peyton of Stylish Riots said: “The summertime festival scene has taught us that there is a growing appetite for large and eclectic live music bills in unusual settings. This is certainly one of those.
“We've worked hard to put together an unbeatable bill at a decent price, in a comfortable and exciting venue. The morning after is a Bank Holiday, which is nice, and by the time you come outside the trains will be running again.”
Stage times in each of the three live rooms will be staggered, so attendees will be able to pick and choose who they want to check out.
